Spurr S/S 2010

There is no questioning Simon Spurr’s talent or pedigree. Before launching his own label, Spurr, in 2006, the thirty-something British designer worked for some of the biggest names in menswear: David Chu, Hedi Slimane, Calvin Klein, and Ralph Lauren. He initially launched a jeans line before developing full collections that featured his own unique tastes as well as the best design elements from his all-star mentors.

Spurr’s Spring/Summer 2010 line paints traditional silhouettes of highly refined menswear in an innovative and vibrant palette. The wool/silk suiting was inspired by vintage Helmut Newton photographs, with cuts ranging from conservative to avant-garde. Trouser legs vary from slim to slightly wide. The flyweight nylon trench coats are impressive. This collection is replete with romantic design and classic construction. Below are some images from the lookbook.
