Home of VPRO, a public multimedia broadcasting corporation based in Hilversum, Netherlands, the Villa VPRO was completed in 1997. It was designed by the architectural firm MVRDV as an open-plan office where the difference between the inside and outside is vague. The floors are connected to one another through a variety of spatial devices such as ramps, stepped floors, monumental steps and small rises, all of which provide a route to the raised, grass-covered roof.
