Through Clouds and Water: A Film About Surfing in the Northeast of England

Surfing regularly in the North Sea has given you a sort of appreciation for imperfect waves, frigid temperatures, and generally unfavorable conditions, so this video by A Common Future for Nowness resonated. It captures the spirit of England's industrial north as well as the spirit of the surfers there.

Gieves & Hawkes S/S 2016

Dating to 1771, Gieves & Hawkes is one of the oldest tailoring houses in the world, and while they still offer bespoke tailoring and shoe making that is the epitome of refinement and sartorial precision, creative director Jason Basmajian's most recent collection appears decidedly more casual.

Margaret Howell S/S 2013

Margaret Howell collaborated again with photographer Koto Bolofo to produce the images for her spring campaign. These shots were taken in Ireland and a number of them detail the specialist production of a linen weaver in County Wexford. Obvious emphasis is on the designer's use of traditional fabrics and classic styles.

Burberry A/W 2012 Ad Campaign

Burberry just released their Autumn/Winter 2012 advertising campaign, and it's pretty much hot fire. The cinematic black-and-white photographs by Mario Testino were taken at the iconic Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London, and feature two rising British talents--Roo Panes and Gabriella Wilde.
