It so happens that Stone Island and their Italian supertechnicians/wizards (streghe?), who devote their days to things like making dyes (read: creating colors no one has ever seen before) and revolutionizing outerwear, have teamed up with NYC streetwear titan Supreme. The collaboration for A/W 2014 consists of the Raso Gommato Cover Nero Jacket (shh...shh...there's a removable eye mask on the stowaway hood), a group of fleeces, and a Supreme camp cap. The collection drops October 2, both in stores and online.
Stone Island does the luxe/tech thing really well. And winter whites. (They get so much shine on this blogito.) You are pretty excited about the new collection.
Stone Island's current collection features a stellar line of camo outerwear. In what environments it's supposed to conceal doesn't matter. What matters is the opposite effect: you stand out on the street.
Iconic Italian brand Stone Island, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, is releasing a book that beautifully illustrates its story. Over 300 images of garments were selected from an archive of over 20,000, and there is plenty of information about Stone Island's unceasing experimentation with sophisticated dye formulas, the manipulation of textiles, and the stylistic and functional research behind the clothes. A slick volume from one of your favorite brands.
