Gonzalo Fonseca's brand, Steve Mono, has been producing leather goods for men since 2006. All products are made by a small manufacturer in Spain. While you can see men appreciating many of the designs in the line, a number of these pieces clearly will be of interest to the ladies as well. Fonseca is careful to offer the following advice/warning: "Women use, and like to steal, their man's bag."

Bedouin Foundry

Britain's Bedouin Foundry bases the design of their bags on the metaphor of the Bedouin tent--a nomadic shelter that is rugged and weatherproof on the outside while offering shelter and comfort on the inside. Each bag currently on offer is made by hand in England and guaranteed for life.

Designed by George Nelson and introduced in 1955, the Coconut Chair looks just as good now as it did then.

45rpm: BADOU·R AI 45 (F/W 2010)

Japan's 45rpm has been making wearable and stylish clothing since 1977. It so happens that you've now been reminded of it twice--most recently by Nico and not long ago by Julia. 45rpm publishes Badou-R AI 45, a quarterly that showcases the seasonal imagery of its four brands: 45' AI Indigo, Badou-R, R by 45rpm, and 45rpm&. Kate Moross for Firetrap

London fashion brand Firetrap collaborated with artist/designer/illustrator Kate Moross on a limited run (500 t0 be exact) of three watches. The designs feature bold geometry and color and reflect the style for which the 24-year-old Moross is internationally known. They’re also water-resistant up to 50 meters and will retail at £100 apiece.

Sebastião Salgado Photography

Mr. Salgado is one of the great photojournalists and social documentarians. Born in Brazil in 1944, he studied economics before beginning his photography career in 1973. His work has taken him to over 100 countries, and in 2001 he was appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. The New York Times can provide a bit more background and explain Mr. Salgado's current project.

Barena F/W 2010

Barena is a Venetian clothing company that takes its name from the Italian word barena, meaning a zone that is between land and lagoon. Originally, Venice was only lagoon, barena, and other little islands. The brand's inspiration is rooted in the ruggedness of that environment and the people--farmers, hunters, and fishermen--who inhabited it. Pieces are constructed from high-quality natural fabrics, in particular wool and linen.
